Yummy. Excellent food. Hot. Large portion. Very good comfort food. Just the the right spice. Delicious Jerk. Servers were excellent and very accommodating. Very pleased and delighted with this gem. Restaurant is large. Has a bar and nice light/windows. Good location. Wait time was very good. I was in and out actually quickly. Offer regular and vegan/vegetarian options. Will be back to try out other items on menu.

Now I'm obsessed and couldn't stop thinking about it, so I came back a week later with my husband. Mac and cheese? Creamy and delicious. Candied yams? To die for. Vegan jerk chicken? Banging. Mocktails? Sweet and delicious. Cocktails? Strong. Collard greens? Best my husband has ever had. Now he's obsessed too. Spread the good word about Ambiance.

The atmosphere was inviting, and there was a vibe that made me feel right at home. I ordered the fried pork chops. They were perfect. Golden brown and crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. The side dishes were just as impressive. I had the creamy macaroni and cheese and green beans. The service was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my experience was top notch. If your looking for a fantastic meal, Ambiance is a must visit! I will definitely be back for another round of those amazing pork chops!
Finally a soul food place in Rockford! And not just any soul food restaurant, this is by far the best I've had in a long time! The environment was a whole vibe. The staff was friendly and amazing! Our bartender was attentive and very helpful with the menu. Her drinks were delicious and definitely worth the price! The owner and chef actually came out and said hello. The Mac and cheese was not out of a box or powdered cheese! Oh my god was it great. I can go on about this place, will be here everyday just to get a taste of home! Already thinking about coming back for the dinner menu!
Upscale soul food spot in Rockford. My first time at Ambiance, the food was really good. Everything that I tasted was delicious, the bar is well stocked, and the pours are generous, of course. The ambiance was on point. The waitstaff did a great job and kept the tables clean and the drinks full. There was live music and great conversation. I enjoyed myself and felt safe. I will be a repete customer!
I started getting soul food cups off their food truck a few yrs ago and I told them I needed a pan & now they have a restaurant and have soul food plates so I guess that will do lol if you trying to unbig your back they even have so many vegan options that’s so good! 20/10 definitely recommend ...
Very exciting to have a Black owned Restaurant In Downtown Rockford, much growth. Gathered with a few Butterflies to support thee establishment for the first time. A very soulful menu from the greens, yams, blacken catfish, macaroni, jerk chicken and the list goes on. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals with a cocktail of course.&
